If you were first runner up at the state pageant and your winner won Miss A, what would you do? Take over the title? Decline and compete the next year? Something I’ve always thought about… with how Alabama handled last year, I wonder if a new precedent will be set for this year.

I think it depends on the girl in that position… if she’s done competing or aged out, absolutely take over. But if she still wants to compete and win on her own merit, she should! And it should not be held against her, especially if a girl is in her prime (NT)No name

If you have enough years left ypu could accept the title, crown your successor the next year and then compete the following year, since you never competed at Miss A. (NT)No name
