I still have not had clarity----is Miss Maryland from Iran, Kuwait, or Pakistan? Key word search those countries (top right corner) and all come up with posts about Maria Derisavi. But where-ever she is from, Maria would be the first Miss Maryland to be crowned Miss America.Maryland's best result was in 1989 when Virginia Cha was named first runner-up.
