This is regarding those over the age of 30 and or married Yes they may have won / or appointed to their state titles, but do you see anyone actualy winning the title of Miss USA ?

Theres 9 thirty and over competing at USA
Or are they just entering for the fun of it? Besides, if a married person won Miss USA what would see be known as?

I think they should leave it at 28 never married

I personally am in favor of the eligibility rules they have now. I think it’s great a YOUNG 30-35 year old can compete (because that’s still young). I think it’s great married women can compete, because they made a commitment to the love of their life. I have known women who compete for Miss USA AND Miss America that literally compete every year, have an engagement ring on their finger, and live with their fiance (or boyfriend) At least the married woman made a choice to be married and not play house with someone. Who care if they are married or not. Marriage shouldn’t define a woman’s life. There are PLENTY of married CEOs, married doctors, married lawyers, married movie stars. So what’s the issue of a pageant title holder being married? Most people I know who don’t like the inclusive eligibility rules are older women (or men) themselves. No name

There needs to be a new age/marital limit. It's MISS. Periodt. I don't see one of the marrieds winning, maybe top 5. (NT)No name

Back in the first decade of the pageant, there was a married woman who won Miss USA. Her name was Leona Gage; she represented Maryland. She was dethroned but not soon enough for the 1st r/u, Charlotte Sheffield Miss Utah, to advance to the MU competition. (NT)The late Leona Gage had a brief time in the spotlight.

I guess it depends on what the expectation is for the new Miss USA. If she's going to go back to making the level of appearances she was in the late 90s and early 2000s (or for decades before that) when she lived in NYC with Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe, then no an older woman in a career or with a family at home shouldn't be in that role. If our expectation is that she goes to Miss Universe, then returns home and does local and a few national appearances it really won't matter how old the person with the title is. (NT)No name
