Subject: ......as typical with many posted messages---lack of information. It would have been nice had you said what year, what state, and fare more importantly which pageant system did this happen to you? I can not imagine it was part of Miss America---unless your state does not have field directors which keeps rules and things in accordance to Miss America (and MAO state) pageant operations. Any reputable (and experienced) MAO state field director

Author:
would be working with the local director on what you said took place.

In reply to: 's message, "Something similar happened to me, as I wasn't told that Interview has been moved up. When I arrived at the time I was told, several of the judges had left. The remaining ones interviewed me, telling me that they could adjust their percentages so that I wouldn't be penalized. The only reason I continued is that my best friend was on his way from threeor four hours away to see me compete. It was my first AND LAST pageant. I still made Top 5." on 10:00:53 01/05/26 Mon

Actually I was going to say the same thing. No clue which pageant this poster was speaking of. And if it was part of Miss America, there should've been bettercoordination between directors, contestant assistants, and field directors.

No, this wasn't an MAO pageant, at all. As this doesn't seem to be an MAO pageant board anymore, I didn't feel itnecessary to post specific information. It happened in Houston, TX and my late friend was driving from Austin. I apologize for any confusion. Carry on. (NT)No name
