Subject: Some of these 100th Anniversary local pageants are just becoming so bizarre. I saw a local pageant posting excessively about how they had their 100th year pageant this year but GET THIS! For years this state has been an at-large state. We are really being generous but was we are calling a 100th anniversary pageant these days.

 It cheapens the actual 100th anniversaries in my opinion. I like the gold crowns, but if you can’t trace back 100 pageants I don’t think it is your 100th anniversary.

It is the 100th anniversary of the first Miss Denver being crowned, and it was exciting to bring locals back to the state after years of at-large. Locals will help grow the program - so yes, we used the rightful anniversary for marketing & to celebrate that history. (NT)No name

Name which local pageants you saw that are celebrating 100 years this year (in which city and what title--and state). Love to check into those as those are the ones we really needto keep arounds---others seem to be (mostly at-large) fly-by-night two or four years then gone.

To the original poster (like many on here) be less vague---say which pageant/pageants who are irate over their 100th year anniversary coverage and promotions.No clue what you are writing about, and where you saw that information.
