I was thinking about that dress recently. Is there a way to access a photo.? Why did they have to change? I heard her mom made the finals gown. This was a year a deal was made and one designer made all the gowns as requested by the contestant. Some ended up getting off the rack versions though. Kira's finals gown was like the one her mom made for NY, but that one was green and she was crowned in a white version. For the record, I love Heather French. She was definitely my pick that year, especially after the final five INTERVIEW with Marie Osmond. They should have never done away with that final interview. I enjoyed her talent, and her gown was gorgeous. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion. I just thought it odd that of all the Miss Americas, she was your favorite in swimsuit, when even Heather was surprised with her swimsuit win. Heather's win was probably the most emotionally charged win in the history of the Miss America program. I've never been a big fan of ballet, but Heather's performance was beautifully executed.
