~+~*Kazan noted Cye's animals.*~+~

...It must be akin to being the only human in such a large group.

~+~*He chuckled, and crossed his arms on the table before dropping his head down to rest there. He was silent for a while, and then picked his head up again as if to make another comment. Before he could, you sensed an energy in the air that heralded the return of Treyvan and the rest of those that had joined his group since you met him.

They appeared at the far end of the bar, behind where Kazan was sitting- and thus out of his line of sight. He knew they were there- you could read it on his face. His pupils narrowed rappidly as a worried look came across his face. You figured out why when Jaysen came and sat down in the booth across from him. The demonic Eyerling had murder practically stamped on his forehead.*~+~

Jaysen- I saw you at the Sacred Circle, was hoping I'd get the chance to talk to you....

Kazan- Ah, Jaysen..... Hi.......

Jaysen- Hi indeed. I don't suppose you remember our last chat.....

Kazan- Heh.... Sort of....

~+~*Jaysen cracked his knuckles.*~+~

Kazan- Hey, don't do that here!

Jaysen- Oh, so you DO remember.

~+~*A rather obvious look of fear was spreading over Kazan's face.*~+~

Kazan- You're still upset about that? Look, you know damn well that--

Jaysen- --Stop. You had no right to do it.

Kazan- I had every right! It WANTED out, it asked my help, and I answered.

Jaysen- It belongs to my family. I want it back.

Kazan- ....I.....

Jaysen- What? You can't? Still?

Kazan- ...It wants to stay with me, I'm sorry......

Jaysen- My forefathers sealed that damn thing away for a reason, Kazan! You can either give it to me or I'm going to take it.

Kazan- Well then YOU reason with it! It isn't moving, and I'm not going to force it to go somewhere it doesn't want to!

Jaysen- Then your blood shall be its new seal.

Kazan- ...Shit....

~+~*Kazan jumped out of the booth, obviously not aiming for anywhere specific, just in time to clear it as a rather large black and orange Mourning Tear crashed down where he had been sitting. All Eyerlings had a sentient weapon- Jaysen's must have been the bat-winged tiger-like feline. The cat pounced up from where it landed, just as Kazan impacted a rafter from his jump and fell. Had he not fallen, the creature would have caught him in mid-air. Instead, it crashed into (and broke) the rafter. Kazan landed first- a bit ungracefully, you noted- and darted towards the door. The feline landed a split second later, and lunged- cutting him off at the same instant that it lashed out with one claw and sent him flying back into the counter. You shuddered to think whjat would have happened had there been any tables in his path.

He got to his feet quickly, vaulting the counter as the feline crashed into the side of it. You felt a heat wave, and then all of the windows shattered. That momentary distraction on Jaysen and the feline's part allowed Kazan to make a break for the nearest window. Tragically, the feline was faster and cut him off. He dove for another, only to be cut off by Jaysen himself and driven by both back into the center of the bar. You noted at that point in time that the initial hit from the Mourning Tear's claw had left three rather deep gashes on his chest. His blood was jet black, shimmering in the light with a silvery luster.

You also noted that, despite the fact that one of their own was practically about to kill Kazan, none of the other Eyerlings were acting to stop him. A good many of them looked horrified or disgusted, but none of them would move. You got the impression that they would get a tongue lashing if they did. Even Treyvan looked slightly disturbed by this.

Both Jaysen and the feline lunged at Kazan at the same moment. Having no route to take, he attempted to dive between them- passing over Jaysen's head, and under the feline- which resulted in a few claw gashes on his shoulders, back, and legs. Landing behind them, he sprinted for the door. Jaysen and his weapon landed at the same time, spun around, and took chase. They were unable to get to him before he got outside, and thus resulted to chasing him into the field outside the bar.

Even though he was injured, he got a decent distance before the cat caught up to him. It leapt as he started to turn, and he brought his arms up as it neared him, its fangs and claws poised to rip his throat out. You understood then why he had wanted so desperately to be outside, as a dome of brilliant red energy appeared over him. It was strong enough to knock the feline back, and make it pace the edges of the shield without daring to enter. You could see the air bending above it as an imense amount of heat rose from it. Had he called the bar inside, the bar its self and everything inside of it would have been incinerated. You could feel the heat from where you were, and to people that didn't have an affinity to fire, it was just barely standable. You had to wander out of the bar for fear that it might become an oven.

All of the flowers and the grass around the barrier died, as Jaysen and his weapon stood outside the red dome.*~+~

Jaysen- You can't stay in there forever!

Kazan- I can try!

Jaysen- Why bother?

Kazan- Because I'm not ready to die yet!

Jaysen- Then give it back!

Kazan- I can't!

Jaysen- Tell me, what does it call you?

Kazan- I'm not telling you what it calls me.

Jaysen- I'm sure it gave you a name like 'Guardian' or 'Protector,' didn't it?

Kazan- Yeah? And what did it call you? 'Ass hole with bad temper?'

Jaysen- Very funny.

Kazan- ...Demonsbane? They call you Demonsbane?! What the hell did you do to warrant THAT name?

Jaysen- That's none of your business.

Kazan- A demon named Demonsbane, and here I thought that the name it gave ME was bad. Anyway, like I said- it doesn't want to go. It doesn't like you.

Jaysen- Wonder why? Kazan, it HAS to be sealed away!

Kazan- According to you.

Jaysen- According to the whole of the universe! That thing isn't safe!

Kazan- So? It's happy here!

~+~*He tapped the side of his head.*~+~

Kazan- Besides, I don't think that you want to swim around in there to find it. It's lodged its self in between some rather dark memories.

Jaysen- It will come out on its own if I kill you.

Kazan- See? That's what the barrier is for!

Jaysen- Again, you can't stay in there forever.

Kazan- Again, I can try. Besides, do you have any idea how taboo it is to use a Half-Kin's blood to form a seal? I like my blood. Where it is. In my body. And on the ground, but you can't use that anyway.

~+~*You noted that the blood he had lost between the bar door and the point where he now stood had killed the grass around it. His blood was apparently very toxic.*~+~

Jaysen- Why do you even care? It never did anything to help you.

Kazan- It never did anything to hurt me, either. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but it never did anything to hurt you or your forefathers, or even your distant relations. It never hurt anyone. You just don't like it because it COULD hurt someone.

Jaysen- It's just a matter of time if it exist outside of its seal.

Kazan- Yeah, it's just a matter of time before anything hurts something else, you know.

~+~*Jaysen and his Mourning Tear sat down outside the barrier.*~+~

Jaysen- We'll wait.

Kazan- You have to sleep sometime.

Jaysen- No we don't.

Kazan- ...Crap...
