i just replaced my snapped power rack with a recon power rack and removed all the power resevoir, pump etc.. at a standstill (on a 325is) the steering is very heavy (your mum couldnt move it but you could) but lightens up fine when crawling (like 3mph) past 5mph is fine and normal driving speeds cant really tell the difference, perhaps a little lighter and transmits a few more knocks etc through from the wheels. perhaps a little more 'feel', but that could just be down to tracking. personally i prefered power but am now used to non. its tempting just to replace with recon manual but dont, you need to change the column aswell, nightmare. the breakers that recon my rack (FAB - excellent) said it typically takes them half a day to recon
