In reply to: Ryan Stewart 's message, "short in the solenoid that operates the clutch?" on 06:56:34 07/07/02 Sun

installed new 30amp fuse. With igntion "on", blower in car works fine and with A/C switch turned "on" the fuse does NOT blow. Seems likey the electromagnetic portion of the A/C clutch engagement mechanism is perhaps shorted or something? / appreciate additional comments on troubleshooting and repair (FYI...before this problems, the compressor itself was working fine....nice cold air to car's interior) / TIA for the help / Bill in San Ramon
