Rumor has it that you could put a 325i chip from the 153 DME in your 154 and it'll work but I cannot confirm this. I have tried it before and the car didn't start but that may have been because the chip was bad. Anyway, there's virtually no demand for that 154 DME and no one makes a chip for it either. Keep an eye out for a cheap 325i dme out of 89-91 models.
