Framingham can’t afford ‘feel good projects’ 03/21/2013 2:06 AM
I am writing in response to the article "Citizen petitions face scrutiny," (May 18). I see that Herb Chasan is at it again trying to spend our hard earned tax money on his liberal agenda. I wish Herb would stop and think that there are many people that are working hard and living from paycheck to paycheck in this town and cannot afford all his feel good projects.

If Herb feels so strongly about his socialist programs why doesn't he run a bake sale or help them get jobs. This country wasn't built on handouts. This town and state spend far too much on socialist programs already.

I think if Herb were to look into why this state passed Prop 2 1/2 was to keep taxes from going beyond that rate not to make us spend that much.

Herb, what makes you think that these programs are high priority? I think they are very low on the list. If the town finds an extra $75,000 how about giving it back to the taxpayers who you seem to think are made of money.

I am proud of the Town Meeting members calling these programs a "slippery slope." Let’s hope this is a trend.
