Subject: What enema solution was used

As a mom of 4 children constipation during their growing years occasionally required an enema. Most of the post I have read stated that soap was added to the enema routinely.

After a little experimenting I found salt and soda was more effective. I added 2 teaspoons of plain salt and a tablespoon of baking soda to a quart of warm water. It is important for the recipient to hold the enema for 10 minutes. Pressing their cheeks firmly together helped them to hold the enema. The solution gave excellent results and very good at cleansing the colon.
I continued to use this enema solution instead of soap. Did anyone else find an enema solution better than soap?

Hugs

Linda
