Subject: Off to a Good Start

The basketball season is off to a good start for me.

AS many of you know, I coach the 9th grade basketball team at my old high school. We started our new season last Thursday evening with a 54-36 win over our crosstown rival. It still feels good to beat my Mom's school, no mater what the sport or level of play. For their first outing, the boys looked good, they played well together as a team.

I also spend some time working with the varsity basketball coach, mostly with the Forwards, as an assistant coach. Friday the varsity opened at home with a 66-56 win. During the game I sat on the bench with the head coach and other assistants. It is hard to just sit there and watch, I want to be in the game.

Bad weather is back for us, we are under a blizzard watch until 6:00 PM Tuesday evening. A lot more snow has already fallen and the winds are really blowing, it is hard to see across the street tonight.

The fireplace is on in the Family Room and Grizzly has parked himself in front of it, I think he enjoys the warmth.
