Subject: Grizzly Report New Year Edition.

Hello Everybody:

It is time for another award winning edition of the Grizzly Report by me, Grizzly.

We at the staff of the Grizzly report want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, we hope it is great year for everyone.

We also want to report on our Christmas holiday, we had a great time at our house.

Many of you may have read about the power outage at the ranch Wyatt reported. We had a blizzard too, but not the power outage. Our part of the state did get the freezing rain and sleet they did, we just had snow and very high winds. We did get about 18 inches of new snow. We also had very high winds that whipped the snow into huge drifts.

Dad, Tanner and Brooks spent time digging and snow blowing open our driveway and sidewalks. We had a 6 foot snow bank in front of our garage that we attacked with shovels and the snow blower. We also dug out our elderly neighbor lady. We had her place nice before she returned from visiting her daughter out of state.

I am sure glad we didn't loose our power.

Christmas Eve Zack, Jenny and Nick came over; so did Cassie, Ben and Sarah; so did Brady and Amber and Kala. After a dinner of shredded beef sandwiches, fruit salad and beans, we exchanged gifts and opened presents. Boy, there were a lot of presents under our tree. It is always fun to watch the little kids rip into t heir presents.

I got some dog treats and more chew toys. You just can't get enough chew toys.

Later the family went to Midnight Mass at our church, I stayed home and guarded the house.

Late that night, after everyone was home and in bed Santa stopped by for a visit. He quickly filled Tanner, Brooks and my stockings with goodies, we chatted a bit and then he had to leave. I know he is very busy. Santa did thank me for warning him about the blizzard that was forecast for us, but thankfully, it wouldn't start for a few more hours.

Christmas morning Tanner,Brooks and I were up early to see what Santa had brought. I got a few more treats. Later that day, Zack and his family, Cassie and her family, Brady and Amber and Kala all came back for a big dinner. We had a small turkey, ham, potatoes, lettuce salads, green bean hot dish, squash, cranberrys, stuffing, rolls and more. Boy we ate. The blizzard started getting worse but our company made it home safely. Everyone lives in our town and if you drove slow you could get through the streets. We had wonderful time.

Zack and Jenny had to delay their trip to Jenny's parent home, as dad Ben and Cassie. Brady and Amber also made it safely over to Amber's parents home. Tanner took Kala back to her house and made it home safely. I am glad everyone was safe. Christmas night the winds really began to blow hard, we couldn't see the house across the street.

I often wonder what it was like for our ancestors when they homestead the prairies. What did they do when the temps dropped way below zero or they had heavy snow and high winds.

Grandma went home Wednesday afternoon I miss her. We took afternoon naps together.

Hallie was home from the Friday before Christmas until last Wednesday, she was visiting her family. She gave me a box of Milk Bone treat and I gave he a bag of bacon flavored treats. She love them.

Looking back, we had a great time, I hope everyone else did too.

Tanner has been busy coaching his basketball teams.

Brooks will be home a few more days. I got to see Jonah, Trent and Damon over Christmas break. It was like old times with the boys in our Family Room. I think Mom liked the chatter coming from the Family Room, but the boys don't rough house on the floor like they used to.

Later.
