In Chapters Two and Three we learned more about the main character, Mieko. We were also given some information about two supporting characters, Grandma and Grandpa. Knowing how nervous Mieko felt before going to school that first day, we all made 3 predictions about how her schoolmates would treat her, what she would enjoy about her day and whether or not she would be happy or sad at the end of the school day. How close were your predictions?

Now I would like you to pretend that you are a student in the class. In 8 - 10 sentences, write a paragragh explaining at least 3 things you would do to make Mieko feel more comfortable in her new surroundings.
