A poorly reasoned dissent, in my opinion. How many more obstacles should we construct to handcuff the discretion of properly-trained law enforcement officers?

Restricting the power of the authorities is the entire reason we have a Constitution.

It's not our god damned priority to make sure those with power are able to use it without restraint. It's our priority to make sure that those WITHOUT power are able to be free from the powerful's misuse of their power.

The entire IDEA behind the American justice system is that it is better to let ten guilty people go free than to have one person's rights violated.

Learn about the country you live in for chrissakes.

How many obstacles do we need to handcuff the actions of police? AS MANY AS WE CAN POSSIBLY HAVE and still have a reasonably safe society.

CIVIL RIGHTS come first, your fears are WAY down on the list.
