I'm a college student, going by a fake name for now...I first start dealing with HOCD around the age of 12. I was already coping with severe anxiety/OCD, and that mixed with puberty and an onset of hormone didn't combine well. I was in multiple therapies for my anxieties, including CBT. Over time I was able to suppress the thoughts and live my life normal. I fell hard for multiple people of the opposite gender, and anytime an HOCD-related thought popped into my head I was able to disregard it and move on. Recently I've been struggling with HOCD again after 4-5 years of peace. I see a therapist that I completely trust from time to time, but that only seems to offer temporary relief.
