GOD i know the good that i should do, but it is not this that i do but the wickedness that i don't want to do.
even though i enjoy it.
for a time.

i long (in my right mind) to be resting in your courts.
but i am a front-line warrior, with no sheild, a blunt sword and a weak heart.
and when the battle comes i even aid the enemy, here is my heart, let me run at your sword... you don't need to move to me.

God, change my mind around.
renew my spirit and my life.
i ask for your grace and forgiveness, or else i will be stuck here forever.
renew my strength so that i can run to you.
renew my heart so that it beats love for you.
renew my focus, so that i can see you clearly.
lift me up and point me in your direction again.
