Kalya bit her lip, she wouldn't have anyone at home who would be happy for her. But she had learned mostly to keep her pain inside her, and she didn't want the fact that her father didn't care about her dreams to affect the Hatching mood, so she replied, trying to be cheerful.

"Yeah, something to write-" but her throat caught on the word "home", and a tear trickled down her face, but she shook her head and cleared it up. "Sorry, it's just that my father never even told me about dragonriders, I found out from my best friend, a drudge, Joth, who's a half turn dead now. He didn't want me to go. I had to run away..." she finished quietly. It felt good to let it out, but also embarassing in a way, so she quickly ducked her head down, letting her hair fall to cover most of it.
