She watched the other canidates, stroking Levi's emerald scales as she did, this time no doubt entered her mind, for she knew, the young queen would pick who to impress, and in the end, the effort would mean nothing. She shifted feet, wincing only slightly, then, after gathering a considerable amount of courage, looked to the great queen guarding her clutch, You have a wonderful clutch. She commented, and then looked down, still petting Levi, hoping she had gone unnoticed. Levi creeled softly, rubbing her head on Jenna's check, reasuring her to an extent. Jenna smiled, and returned to thinking, about nothing inparticular, perhaps about the outcome of the clutch. If there would be more Blues then Greens, or the other way around. And how many eggs would be left unhatched.
