Subject: The young candidate enters the hatching ground.

and looks at the clutch with her sea blue eyes, thrilled to be here. She brushes a strand of copper hair out of her eyes, and thinks to herself.

Scorch it! I should have rubbed on some extra numbweed.

She looks down at her arm, where a thin, blood encrusted cut runs from her elbow to her wrist, from where her brother had sliced her, trying to prevent her from coming here. She looks back to the clutch, and a thrill runs through her as she sees an egg start to move. She shifts her feet, the hot sand burning through her thin sandals, and sees a young green impress on the girl next to her. She sighs, she wantsso much to be a DragonRider, but she fears inwardly that she will never be impressed, and if she does, certaintly nothing more than a blue...

She stems her thoughts, and continues to watch, happy for the people being impressed upon despite herself. Besides, she was only 17, she might have another chance. But she wanted so much to be a DragonRider...
