Subject: *the young man steps onto the sides, a smile spreading across his face*

*A young man with wild blonde curls turns his head in every direction, examining the site before him. Never in a million years would he have believed that he would be standing in a Weyr as a Candidate. A large smile spreads across his face and he walks farther towards the others. The beautiful queen was guarding her eggs like a hawk and he took notice of the gold she was standing over. She seemed particularly protective of that one, and with good reason. Turning his attention towards the other eggs he saw more than there were Candidates. Hoping that more soon showed up, he gathered around with the others. Watching and waiting for the Hatching that was soon to come. Butterflies flittered in his stomache, threatening to make him weak. But he would have none of that. Pushing back all doubt and bringing forward his hope, he focused on the scene that lay before him. Beautiful... The sands below his sandaled feet burnt hot, but he took no notice. He was at a Hatching, him! Kahetis was been wandering the world of Pern since he was a young lad and now he had the chance to fulfill his dream. He could only hope it would come soon.*
