K'mir? I think I've heard about him...Smith? Avianyth couldn't think where she'd heard that name before, and was inwardly glad that Darlith hadn't thought her a stupid hatchling. It would be awful if a really nice blue (one Turn older- though she didn't know it!) thought she was stupid!
That's what our Weyrlingmaster told us greens, but so far, I haven't found any really nice blues or browns. At least, not any that I would want to fly me. And certainly not any that I would want Nerilki to know, not like that.

"They're cute, but not too bright, if you know what I mean." Embroidered chirped a question at Hotaru, who screeched a reply. Knightess scolded both of them, hissing, her eyes whirling red.
"Oh, for Faranth's sake!" she covered Knightess's eyes with one hand, and held Hotaru's mouth closed with the other.
"Sometimes, blue rider, I think that my fire lizards are more demanding than my dragon!"

Doubtless, Neri. Avianyth's droll tone only made Nerilki roll her eyes.
But would your's stay long enough to find out? Avianyth let her wings droop from her backbone in order to soak up more rays.

Majestic hopped a little closer to Lance, intrigued. He could tell that this female, wearing blue rank cords, was hurt. Though he had never spoke, nor been in a flight, he was very good at detecting emotions. Something that not even Nerilki knew of. He wanted to know more about the type of female who would Impress his larger cousin, the dragon. ((Last paragraph- human version of fire-lizard speak.))
