When Krystan got to the entrance to the Lower Caverns, she stopped and stared. /There are so many people here,/ she thought. /I hope they are nice./
Even though she likes people, there are far too many here for her to be comfortable. Krystan edges through the doorway and finds an out of the way place to hide. From there she watches the people around her, trying to decide what to do. Should she introduce herself to someone or should she wait until she is noticed and someone comes over to ask her name?
/I don't know what I should do,/Krystan thinks. I really don't. What if they don't like me? What if they say I can't stay? I really hope they will let me stay./
Then she wedges herself farther into her corner as she sees someone approach. /I hope whoever that is isn't coming over here'/ she thinks.
