((OOC Note: if T'gan and R'jari choose to join us, there can magically be an empty seat between Tanikli and Ina, and one between Jari and T'bel. ^^;;))

S'sha returns the from-behind hug as best as she can, grinning broadly at seeing her fellow queenrider seemingly healthy and happy. Amusement fills her greyish eyes as she meets Wessae's gaze from across the table, only now realizing that the two goldriders had taken almost opposing seats. "Tales of our... adventures..." she chooses that word in a forced attempt to lighten their time outside the Weyr, "...will definitely wait until we eat and rest. Though I'm accustomed to pushing myself, my riders need a bit more care to be healthy." She chuckles, a warm and rich sound more befitting a tolerant mother than the quick-witted, hot-headed Weyrwoman she once was. To Tani, she smiles and gives a short little wave, allowing the greenrider to rattle on and eventually stop speaking before she replies, "Good to see you as well, Tani."

As drudges lay out food and drink before her, the older rider's smile diminishes slightly, though the reason for this change is unknown. One hand lifts from where it had rested near her mug of klah and gestures towards Wessae. "Weyrwoman, fill your plate so that the rest of us can eat," she calls, voice light and teasing on the surface.

T'yin, running on low batteries in his seat between R'nos and Ina, across from the ever-humorous A'rak, still says nothing as the friendly banter seems to fly straight over his head. He does, however, smile at Wessae for the hug, a little life and joy returning to briefly shine in pale green eyes at the sight of one of his dearest friends. And he does nod a wordless greeting towards Tani, a lesser grin curving his lips briefly at her exuberant entrance, and he also nods to each of the new Candidates, both of whom look very out-of-place here at this table filled with legends and lost souls. Either way, he too hesitates to even sip his klah, trying to accomodate S'sha's courtesy to the Weyrwoman and fighting the temptuous scent of the hot spiced drink. As soon as Wessae so much as touches her food or drink, though, he plans on cradling that mug like a fire lizard egg and nursing the soothing drink within.

R'nos pats Wessae's arms as they encircle him, unable to do much more without actually getting up (and reluctant to do that). He grins broadly at the young goldrider, then his eyes nearly bug out of his head as he catches a very familiar face and hears a very familiar voice. "...Ta...ni...?! Oh, Faranth, the Weyr is doomed again!" the stocky man moans, covering his face with broad, scarred hands. One brown eye peeks out between two thick fingers. "Didn't 'Sae get rid of you when she pretended to send you on Search?" he mutters disconsolately, voice dark and smirk hidden by his hands. Then, as the two Candidates seat themselves, he straightens again and grins broadly at them both. "You poor souls, having the bad fortune to be picked up by this... this... woman." He shuddered. Then, his warm welcome to Tanikli completely forgotten as the food is presented, his eyes dart to Wessae. "Eat, lady! I'm starved, but not so hungry to risk the wrath of two goldriders by being presumptuous." He laughs aloud, good-natured sound rolling like distant thunder across the table.
