However, she never heard the reply. She saw her mother.

When G'rein released her hand, she ran happily to her mother, screaming out the word, "Mommy!"

She clasped her small arms around her mother warmly, rubbing her face into her mother's shoulder and giggling with joy. When Halzay picked her up, she made no move whatsoever to stop her.

"Gwen save Sawwy, mommy!" She giggled, and looked confused at Halzay's topic of conversation. "Gweens can't cwutch(clutch), can dey, Mommy?"

It was a totally new concept to the 4-turn-old, and she found herself very interested in it.
