((If this one is a little rushed, sorry - I want to get to the Rider Weyrs thread.))

"Yes, ma'am," Z'ni says respectfully to the Weyrwoman as she exits, then turns back to Isabel. "I'll take you up in a moment. You want clothes?" At her assent, he nods and rushes out of the cave, hurring down the hallway until he spies a drudge. "Hey!" he calls, waving the drudge over, and smiles gently at her when she shies away in startlement. That's right, she's skittish, he remembers as he recognizes her. "Could you point out where I could find some female clothing - nothing fancy, please - and bandages?" She points dumbly to two different doorways, and he continues more gently. "Thank you. Now, could you get together a tray of food, on the biggest tray you have, and take it outside? A pitcher of water and some cups too, please, and I'll collect it there." She scurries off, and he enters the first room she'd pointed out, collecting some rolls of bandages and stuffing them into his belt. The next room has some simple, everyday clothing, and he finds a skirt and shirt that will be easy to put on the wounded girl. After a moment's pause, Z'ni grabs an identical skirt and a sleeveless shirt and tucks them inside his jacket, then hurries back to Isabel.

"Would you like some help?" he offers, holding up the change of clothing in silent invitation. "I promise to be polite about it." The greenrider ends up helping her struggle into the clothing, carefully averting his eyes when anything prurient is exposed, then bends down and helps her up. "Can you walk, if I help you? Good. Arm over my shoulder, and lean on me as much as you can, but I'm not sure I can carry you all the way back there again." Z'ni helps her slowly through the Lower Caverns to the open area just in front, where the drudge, holding the requested tray, cowers from the medium-sized green dragon waiting patiently for her rider. Z'ni helps Isabel onto Jesaketh's neck and fastens the riding straps around her, then rushes back for the tray. Tray in hand, he climbs carefully onto his dragon's shoulders, clamps his legs tightly around her (since he'd never expected needing to rig her out with two sets of straps tonight), and pats her shoulder. /Let's be careful, Jesaketh. You don't want to drop me, I don't want to drop the tray, and neither of us wants her to hurt, right?/

The dragon swings her head back around to give him a green-eyed look. I can figure that out on my own, Z'ni. But Jesaketh rises carefully, instead of in her usual over-enthusiastic bound, and by some miracle starts out on an even keel instead of bumping through the air like she's encountering major turbulence. Both the green and her rider are doing their best to curb their usual bouncy exuberance tonight.
