Subject: >Aren't families fun?<

Appearing from between above the Lower Caverns, a dragon spirals down to a landing in the large open space in front of the entrance. Light flashes off of her dark gold wings, and she arches her neck in a rather preening fashion when she spies a few bronzes on the heights. Her slowly-whirling blue eyes catch glimpses of familiar dragons; one with a pale robin's egg blue hide and nearly the size of a small brown, the other a green as "average" as a green can get, in both size and coloring. As she lands, she addresses her rider. Talla, Sengaloth and Jesaketh are on the heights, so your brothers will be inside.

She's left unspoken the implied offer to go elsewhere if Talla doesn't want to deal with her siblings right now, but the goldrider just grins. /Wonderful! I can show them my eggs,/ she says happily as she climbs off of Mylanith's back, moving carefully so as not to spill sand or eggs from the clay pot cradled in one arm. Patting her dragon affectionately on the neck and ordering the small gold firelizard clinging to the harness straps onto her shoulder, she heads towards the Lower Caverns. /Take your beautiful self up there and show off to those bronzes, my heart,/ she offers, dark hazel eyes sparkling. She doesn't have the same vain streak as her dragon - or at least, she doesn't think she does; she may be wrong, after all, "like dragon, like rider" - but she enjoys stroking Mylanith's ego. It makes the junior queen happy, after all, and when her dragon is happy, Talla is happy. She's humming softly as she saunters into the Lower Caverns, and immediately her gaze alights upon two well-known forms, talking quietly to each other at a table near the hearth. "D'rai! Z'ni!" she calls, stopping by the hearth to put her eggs near the warmth and set Stanza as a guard over them before continuing on to her brothers' table. "How are your dragons?" she asks as she sits down, even though she's only talked to the boys yesterday. It's always a good question to start with.

"Jesaketh's asleep, probably," Z'ni laughs. The youth has height and a large frame, but while he's developed a bit of muscle during his years as a greenrider, he's nowhere near hulking. His light hazel eyes dance merrily behind an errant strand of dirty-blond hair as he gives forth this unsurprising information. His beloved green seems to have three modes of operation - hungry, sleepy, and bouncy. His family would ruefully note that the same applies to Z'ni. Right now, he has a needle and thread in hand and a harness spread out before him, though one might question whether it's his or another rider's. He's getting good at trading favors so as to avoid really hard work, because bouncy doesn't always mean willing to haul and carry.

Shaking his head at his siblings' not-quite-overbearing good cheer, dour D'rai sends an affectionate tendril of thought to his Sengaloth before replying. "Sengaloth is preening for Augsath, what else?" he replies, sounding both amused and exasperated. Of course, he's setting his hat with equal vigor at Augsath's rider, their childhood friend Emma, but that doesn't keep him from groaning at Sengaloth's complete lack of subtlety. He doesn't appear to have anything on hand, just keeping Z'ni company. Or, perhaps, supervising the mending of his harness, though the one Z'ni's working on is really much too small for the man's oversized blue. "How's Mylanith?"

"Vain, preening, and utterly justified, what else?" Talla says blithely, smiling. "She's still jealous of the weyrling queen, but we're working on that. She's convinced everyone will find the little gold prettier or something," she adds with a slightly contemptous sniff, her shoulder-length brown hair swirling as she shakes her head at her dragon's foolishness. In her mind, no dragon can ever be more beautiful than her beloved Mylanith. "Hey, are you all alone, or is there anyone else here?" she says suddenly, glancing around. "No offense, but I don't think I've really talked to anybody but you two for days, and I think I can only go so longer before throttling you both."
