"I'd love to be a candidate. My father is a bronze-rider, after all." Cara smiled.

"I'd love to impress. It sounds awsome. But, if I don't, I'd love to be a dolphineer." Graythorn said, sighing.

"I really want to impress." Faini smiled, stroking Skyi. "I've always wanted a queen, but I'd also love a green. Green's my second favorite color, after purple. Plus, greens are indespensible to the Weyr."

Shadow just kind of shrugged. "I figure what dragon in their right mind would pick me?"

"Aw, stop dis'in yourself, Shadow."

"Yeh, you could impress."

"We know ya can. You've got the strength."

"No dragon would pick me anyway. I just know it." Shadow shrugged.

"What about you guys? Salty? Terent?" Cara said, trying to change the subject.
