M'telle doesn't notice the hum as Ki hatches, his mind drawn fiercely to his green's emerging. He would glance lightly at R'ven while the older man fumbles with his own fair, and give a tiny laugh. Now, as Ki sleeps, he strokes her delicate spine with a thumb, slow and a bit shakily. The brilliant green firelizard is extremely tiny even for her colour, almost dwarfed by the digit that rubs against her back.

When a larger bronze firelizard hurtles down the table, the bluerider gasps and protectively covers Ki with his hand. She awakens and squawks, her wedge-shaped head squirming into the crack between his middle and index fingers to spot the larger flit that she can hear. M'telle removes his hand when Vey settles down, tentatively reaching to stroke the bronze, should he be allowed. He chuckles lightheartedly at R'ven's look, waving it off with a grin and an effeminate flick of the wrist. 'Oh, it's fine,' he purrs, looking the blonde rider up and down. 'He's an energetic fellow, hmm?'

Watery blue eyes drift down to Ki, who's peering up at the other 'lizards, the first of her kind that she's seen. She chirrups a greeting.

'I hope mine won't be too hard to train. I already have Harilath!' The blue dragon lifts his head from his foreclaws at the sound of his name and whumbles a soft, questioning yawn. He blinks up at R'ven and dips his muzzle.

'So, what's your name? Did you Impress at Grenith's clutch, too? Well, I didn't see you there.. but it's always safe to ask..' At this point M'telle realises he's talking to himself, and his cheeks flush red.
