 I have no inside information, but I'm sure girls are spanked by their parents in many different ways. There's no handbook everyone reads that shows how to do it, and some people can be sadists, control freaks, pedos and a variety of lunatics are out there raising kids, often causing more mental/emotional problems that get passed on to the next generations.

It seems the older Hollywood films understood the titillating nature of spanking attractive women, but they couldn't make it overtly sexual. The way to avoid that was to make the spanking look patriarchal. I remember there being a fatherly tone of authority projected, and the women were suitably "tamed" as popular in romance since at least Shakespeare.
