A better approach to driving when late is just to admit to yourself that you are late and vow to be brave and take the consequences.

Here is why I say this. I had a similar situation: but there was another just like me and he was also going to cut it close but he was going to jump on the green. I believe that he technically was early and that I had the yellow. That fact in the end didn't matter since we collided head on, fortunately NOT at full speed. No one died or even was badly hurt. Repairs took a while and costs were borne by each driver for his car.

It was a major life lesson. Best to leave earlier. Second best is to take Yellow to mean: Stop if you possibly can.

A speeding ticket coupled with underage driving earned me what ended up being the last spanking of my teen years. It was a whopper ill never forget.

Took the family car out as an unlicenced 16 year old, perfect crime till i got caught in a speeding ticket, picture clear of me driving with no supervision.

Once the fine came in the mail, Dad pulled no punches. I was ordered to bend over the back of a dining chair, which meant after near 12 months since my last spanking, i was getting the yardstick again.

Dad whacked me much like a principal might use a cane or paddle in his office. They were big boy smacks that brought a cocky 16 year-old to tears. Not so much from embarrasment but fully due it hurting bad. The number i guess was about 10-15.

The worst news came after this spanking. Dad said that was for taking the car out,and that i was to go to my room, with understanding that in an hour i would be called out and punished again for the speeding.

I remember clear as like it was yesterday hearing the stern call "CALLUM!" once the hour was up. The ticket had clocked me 18km over the limit, and i was told I was going to get smacked 18 times, once for each KM.

With my bottom still throbbing from earlier, I had to get through 18 more huge whacks.

Not once did i ever think about taking the car out unlicenced again.

Kids on my block knew the yardstick all too well. Until it breaks in half and into two unusable for spanking pieces, a yardstick is very potent. Each stroke stings like the Dickens and they quickly add up.

But, with the thin yardsticks that are given away mainly as advertising, one can plausibly hope for it to snap. But some moms paid for a "better" one and our next-door neighbor had what she termed her "unbreakable" one. Indeed, it never broke while I lived near her. My mother's freebies always broke and often early enough in a spanking that I actually got off after one snapped into two useless for spanking parts.

How long after your (Callum's) last spanking did you feel reminder tingles and smarting?

Yardsticks can be bad as!! The one u
Dad used on us boys was a sturdy vintage one. The one i first got smacked with as an 11 or 12 year old was the same one my youngest brother got till he was a mid teen. Thats about a decade and it never looked like breaking.

It hurt us boys so bad. The pain was like an intense sting initially that then changed to a burning pain. The sting came straight back as soon as a fresh whack landed.

A sturdy yardstick should be right up there with say a strap and paddle when it comes to how much implements hurt. All 3 of us boys cried hard when we got beltings, we hated it
