 Peter said it right, spanking vs beating. That is why almost all movie spankings back in the day had the female over the male’s knee. That said, are there movie or tv spankings that most resembled the way you got or gave spankings?

I don't remember any actual similarities other than over the knee. I do remember growing up in the 1960's that the spanking of children & attractive young women was considered fodder for TV comedy. If we were watching a show that either showed or implied a spanking, I'd sink down in my seat & feel very uncomfortable. I believe there's a YouTube compilation of all the TV spankings of the 50's & 60's, also one where adult women are spanked like children in TV shows & movies.
