It's interesting to hear about he feelings you had after you were spanked by your friend's father. I also tried to avoid spankings from my parents even though they did cause me to become aroused, especially into my teens. I would sometimes masturbate afterward. But it was spankings I had received from people other than my parents that I would fantasize about. One of my teachers spanked my bare bottom when I was in elementary school. I grew up in the late 50s and had many experiences like you did which left me with spanking fantasies and the need to be spanked

In elementary schools teachers spanked for misbehavior. These spankings were normally given in the attached coat room but could be given in front of the class which happened to me twice, once in second grade and again at age 11 in sixth grade. Most spankings given in the coat room were over the lap and on bare bottom and the class could hear the spankings.

In second grade I talked back to the teacher and she took me to the front of the class and took down my pants and underpants and spanked me over her lap and then removed them and put me in the corner crying. Later I was returned to my desk still bare from the waist down. I got my pants back an hour later.
