Hello Gwen,

So, your daughters get the strap just like I do, face down on a table. My dad disciplines me in his private study. Are your daughters spanked fully nude like me? My dad also prefers his table as opposed to a bed. Yes, my dad oils the strap for two reasons. One, it keeps the leather well preserved and supple so it doesn't crack. Two, that oiled leather strap is just hellfire. Sorry for the harsh wy of describing it but God that oiled strap burns so bad. My last was several months ago, actually last year for giving mom bad attitude. Oh, dad rubs the oil into the leather by hand.
He probably oils the strap once evry couple weeks. So to be blunt, yes the oil makes it burn much worse. Especially if he has just oiled it before I get it.

The reason we all believed that being spanked on a wet or oiled bottom hurts more, is that the moisture and thin layer of oil make the spanking implement briefly stick and tug on the skin. This "brief pull" irritates and stimulates additional nerves not already affected by the impact pressure of the hairbrush or spanking implement.

So, the reputation of oil or water as making spankings feel more intense is deserved. Spanking persons should take these basic facts into account. Oil and water may not mix well but they really do both augment intensity of a given swat.
