Back in the day, I knew girls who were totally wild with no parental discipline, and teen pregnancy was sometimes the result. Other girls were raised very strictly, could not even date, and disobeying in any way regarding boys would likely result in corporal punishment. Sometimes that also resulted in pregnancy. In my family, we were all spanked growing up and into our teens. There was a blatant double standard, though, as boys could be boys with regard to sex. For a boy, it was kind of an achievement to get lucky. I guess many parents didn't think that pregnancy was bad luck for their sons, as they could just walk away from the responsibility. I was not allowed makeup or dating till I was 16. And they were quick to dispense corporal punishment. I didn't however get pregnant before I was married. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
