I find most of the posts on here overwhelming with college ages, belts, nudity, masturbators etc.

I would say what you experience is normal and probably fits in with the majority your age in the US. Yes, there are role player, fetishists, etc., here. But from my own RL experiences, many even older are still spanked a lot worse than you.

Every person is different and family is different. Heck, my last spanking was at 10 and I think I got it like 4 times in my life. Others on the street got it to their teens. You are probably right where you're supposed to be in life and they will probably end soon for you.

I'll echo what the other are saying, Sarah. Be careful. There's a lot of role playing sites like voy.
That said there are perhaps 25 million teenagers in the US so almost anything will happen somewhere.
In England here, I don't know many teenagers who are spanked IRL any more. Those that admit it get a handful of slaps like you describe. I've never smacked my two, but they're only 6 & 8.
When I was growing up it was different.
