Thank you, Mindy, for your kind reply. Yes, the short circuits... you'll probably never get rid of them completely. And then you're lucky if there's someone there who can restart things with empathy, but also with strictness if necessary. I was lucky enough to have that. First my father, who was perhaps more strict than empathetic, and then my husband for over 45 years. Perhaps we will occasionally find topics on which we can exchange our experiences.
