I need sleep and if I do not get it, I am totally terrible. Okay, I get that. But, for next week, I asked if we could forget the rules (which include my bedtime). I was told on no uncertain terms that I have a bed time and so the rules, including bedtime will apply. Furthermore, I can expect to be spanked if the rules are broken. My question: I think this approach by my mom is not reasonable because vacation is a time to do as you wish and not be hampered by rules. During the school year (College) my bedtime is 10pm and now during the summer it is 11pm. I also have a curfew time of midnight. Both of these are spanking offences if I violate them. Like you when on vacation my bedtime is the same and again a spanking violation. I still have to tell my mom where I am going and what time I will be home. If I miss my time of when I said I was going to be home by more than 30 minutes, mom feels that I have disobeyed, and I am spanked so I always try and call her to let her know I am running late. I still average a spanking about every other month. Spankings for me are always OTK on bare bottom with hand and paddle. Do you still have a curfew? How often do you still get spanked? No I do not have a set curfew; I just have to be home in time to be in bed (face washed, teeth brush, pjs on, lights out and in bed) before 9:30. We have an app that determines best times to be in bed based upon my rhythmic clock. Mine is between 8:45 and 9:45 and so mom decided on 9:30. Otherwise my next day on on so good. If there is an activity that may affect my bedtime, I need her permission to go and she gives me an earlier bedtime the next evening or evening before. If I have not been doing well, she will not give me permission to go. How often do you still get spanked? Yes, I still get spanked: mostly for sassiness, talking back (both to anyone, ie last one was sassing the Dr. office person; Sometimes I miss bedtime, and do not finish my assigned chores. How are you spanked and who normally spanks you? My mom does the spanking and it is bare bottom, over her knee, with her hand reddening my entire behind and then the paddle (small paddle like a hairbrush, but without the bristles. Once I am in bed, I can only leave to go to the bathroom and then straight back to bed. Also, I must stay in bed until 6 am.
