So, this other friend of mine, she's not a close friend, I don't really know her that well, we were just studying because we've got the same class. She's a real geek and awkward like me, but we've never really talked too much. I have to admit I didn't ace it, but after class we waited for our grades. She came up to me all excited and said "I'm so glad I aced that test! My mom would KILL ME if I got anything below a C." My first thought was a C? Then she took my phone and put her number in and said "Keep in touch ok? I'll see you in September ok?" Then she hugged me.
So here's what I'm thinking and I may be way off base. I think her mom spanks her and that's why she kept looking at the paddle and she knows my mom uses it to spank me. 'My mom would kill me' could mean a lot of things. It could mean she would ground her, it could mean she will yell at me, it could mean she will be disappointed in me, it could mean she'll give me the stink eye, but I think she saw the paddle and she wants to open up to someone who understands. She can't just come right out and say "I know your mom spanks you and I get spanked too." I may be reading way more into this. I hope I'm right. Maybe she'll tell me about it if she gets spanked.
