That is a stupid statement. Since becoming a teacher and getting more mature I have softened my opinion on spanking. I know some (actually a lot) of the kids get spanked from time to time and most of them are intelligent and well adjusted, but some are not and I believe that has more to do with lazy parenting and setting poor examples as parents. I believe and studies prove that is a very rare child who actually would benefit from a spanking. There are many other ways to teach, guide and discipline.
