Folks,

Firstly, hat-tip to Luvfemsmkr over at the Committed Smokers board.

They posted this link:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/these-are-the-us-cities-with-the-biggest-smoking-population/ss-BB1jnK71?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=ba92235e02734643aa4b4c47ebb5f2ba&ei=61

At the end of this short article was this link:

https://247tempo.com/this-state-has-americas-biggest-smoking-population-ranking-all-50-states/?wsrlui=47281781

Some of you might get a kick out of the read, but it brings up some stats in addition to smoking rates; general health, life expectancy, and premature death. I have an issue with the fact that they try and link smoking rates to those other things. Obviously they are trying to push 'The Message' that Smoking is at the root of all the factors. Any rational mind would conclude this is obviously not the case, as there are many other lifestyle choices, genetics, environment and so on that contribute to these statistics. Remove Smoking, and those values would likely not change.

Shall I preserve (sans pix)?

May as well do it…

Thoughts?

Nick
