Subject: Are things really this bad?
I mentioned on my message board an X/Twitter account I found called cigarette aesthetica.A comment I saw on there shook me to the core. A young man said that he never in his life met a female who smokes cigs. I looked to see where he was from and he lives in Pennsylvania. The state with the highest female smoking rate in the Northeast. Yet he has never met a woman who smokes? When I was his age around half the women I ever met were smokers. It would have been impossible never to meet a woman who smoked. Yet know things are so bad that it's possible?
According to the latest smoking stats, as grim as they are there are still literally millions of women who smoke cigarettes in the USA. Yet because this is such a big country those millions are still a small percentage 9%. This 9% is concentrated in the working class and below. So I suppose if a young person these days grows up in a wealthy neighborhood filled with educated professionals they very well might never meet a woman who smokes. One thing for sure if we now have people growing up not knowing one single woman who smokes this fetish doesn't have a future.
