A few more updates, two Ones that Got Away (Quest for Infamy and Weed Shop 3) and one with a bit of actual female smoking (Unavowed). Original link should still work.

---

Quest for Infamy

Tobacco plays a significant role in this game. The player can visit a tobacconist which sells cigars, pipes, and several different types of pipe tobacco of different grades. These items are used as trade goods as well as in solutions to puzzles. The Player Character smokes a pipe, and several male background NPCs can be seen smoking.

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any female smoking in the game. Even the ladies-of-the-night gathered outside the Red Door, the local brothel, did not provide a single sighting!

Unavowed

Some NPCs smoke. If you choose the Actor origin for your character, you encounter an actress smoking in costume outside a theater. If you tell her you thought she’d quit, she informs you that she was “saving her voice for the show”. The pixel-art animation and dialog portrait of her smoking is pretty decent.

Weed Shop 3

You would think a game about running a weed shop would have a ton of smoking in it, at least of weed, and perhaps tobacco as well. No such luck. The only smoking is by the (male) Player Character. There are cigarette butts and packs littered around, but I did not find any other smoking at all. This seems a bizarre corner to cut for a game like this, but there we have it. There is, however, a wide variety of first-person weed smoking animations for the male PC, including a joint, bong, vape, and others.
