The final update for the year! For the last couple of entries, we have two decent ones, Being a DIK and Perfect Tides. Being a DIK is an adult Visual Novel with surprisingly good writing for the genre, while Perfect Tides is an Adventure game that tells a coming-of-age story with smoking as a significant component.

Being a DIK
Season 1 (Episodes 1–4)
A visual novel about a college freshman pledging to a new fraternity, the DIKs. Given how much drinking and partying occurs in this game, I was surprised there wasn't more smoking. Still, there was a bit. We get a couple of short cigarette smoking scenes and one extended 420 scene with a joint.

Perfect Tides
This game follows a year in the life of Mara, a teenage girl growing up on a resort island. As the game is set in the year 2000, smoking is very common, both by Mara’s high-school friends and by others around the island.
During the year, Mara goes through many of the coming-of-age experiences that teenagers face, including experimentation with smoking. Over the course of the game, she progresses from trying her first cigarette with her best friend (stolen from the friend's mom), to regularly smoking with her friends, and eventually to the point where she wants a cigarette so badly that she comes out to her older brother and tries to convince him to buy her a pack.
In addition to the smoking-related storyline and frequent depictions of smoking, there is occasionally smoking-related text that can be triggered by trying to talk to smokers, take cigarettes, etc.
