Subject: Orlimar Woods

Bought an Orlimar faiway wood today. The price was very good - it was on sale ($150 Canadian or about $100 US). It was a steel shafted regular flex 14+ degree loft animal. Took it out on the driving range right away. The simulator at the dealer said I would get about 210 yards. The driving range results were about 230 - 240 yards. The thing I really liked about this fairway wood was the straightness of this club. Never have I hit a fairway wood so straight on a first trial! The several times I hit the ball perfectly (that feeling nothing sensation) the ball just rode the air down the range with a wonderful trajectory. I haven't changed the grip yet, guess that is the next item on the agenda. So far this is the best wood that I have come across in a very long time. If this club works out the way it appears to be heading I suspect I am going to be an Orlimar fan for a very long time.
