For an excellent description of ball position for each of the groups of golf clubs found in the bag, read the article `Back to the Basics` starting on page 22 in the July/August issue of `Natural Golfer` magazine under the general title `natural golf instruction`. I have found the whole series of articles, (incomplete as yet), which started in the `May/June issue of the magazine, very helpful in the way they refreshed and re-inforced the original lessons presented in the LOBG videos. Also in the first of the magazine series was a lesson in recovery from sand (page 32). This may answer your question about sand play.
