First of all, just abandon your vocabulary. YOu don't need it. I have been golfing for over 20 years and just recently made a significant discovery.
Golf is no harder than any other sport where you hit or throw a ball and you do it in the same way. In every other sport, be it baseball, hockey, tennis, or football, the thrower or hitter, throws or hits against the resistance of his front side.
So, all you have to do is to grip the club in the palm of your dominant hand and learn to hit a golf ball that way. Start with an imaginary ball and with a very short swing, hit or toss ( however you want to think about it). Gradually lengthen your swing until you reach about waist height and then add your other hand. Continue to hit both real and imaginary balls.
The first thing you should experience is a sort of bracing motion that occurs in anticipation of the hit. The harder you go to hit, the stronger the squat or bracing movement. The movement of your arm is the action and everything else is a reaction.
If you think of anything at all, think of hitting with your dominant hand and only think of that. Don't worry other
thoughts will creep in and when they do you will realize why it has taken you so long to learn to hit a golf ball.
What I just told you is so valuable that you couldn't
possibly pay me what its worth, so please do not mail a check for a skillion dollars.
This is not something that will just work for some. It will work for all. The idea that everyone has to find his own individual way is nonsense and this is going to prove that to you.
Let me know how quickly you learned it. Not if you learned it. You will learn it, it is only a matter of time.
