Yes, the hips lead. However Moes gets his arms through in a big hurry. I do not know enough about what NG is teaching now to pass judgement, but I do know that if you are teaching a new player it is important that they learn to get the arms through. Telling them to lead with the hips is not going to help. That kind of teaching can lead to over using the body and some really ugly stuff.
You see it is possible that you are still missing a piece of the pro swing puzzle. I can't tell for sure as I do not understand your overall swing philosophy. BTW is this the end of the push of the pusher swing?
