To answer your question, the frame counters have never found a student on the infomercials that holds the angles properly utilizing the NG way.

Here is the primary issue you have to understand. You have to understand the issue of the arms swinging defining the body motion...the NG philosophy. Of course this isn't true. What you are saying is that the arms will start swinging and the body will anticipate this motion. This is what Croker does.

However, with Moe, the body is going forward while the arms are still going backwards so the arms cannot possibly be defining any forward motion of the body, because the arms are going BACKWARDS. That's why this forum is planning a "Thank you Chaz day" for bringing these issues to light.

So, first, you have to cleanse your brain of the arms swinging defining any body motion from a mechanical perspective.

Of course, Todd Graves is one of the bigger rotators of all times so how can he say to just swing the arms?

The reason Todd says this is that if you stand driver wide, and swing back with the arms, because you are in an extreme position, the hips will start rotating forward while you are still swinging backwards, in order to accommodate the forward motion.

However, when you hit other than driver you have to understand that you don't slide onto that bent left leg, you rotate onto the bent left leg. Just look at the pictures of Todd, and you will see what I mean.

The thing to understand is that you don't get to the top of the swing, pause, and, then, start down with the hips rotating or leading. That's what most people on this forum think the Chaz is saying.

What Chaz is saying is that the hips are already moving forward while the arms are still going BACKWARDS. Do you see the difference?
